Roasted Suckling Pig in Bali (TRAVEL VLOG)
Today we try Babi Guling (Roasted Suckling Pig), an in-your-face dish that reminds you what you are about to eat was once alive. Its presentation may be tragic, but also honest. As opposed to the abstracted meat we are typically served in other restaurants, such as hamburgers, steak, so forth.

In this travel vlog, we also check out a hidden bridge that not even many locals know about (or so a local tells me). We watch a live performance called the Barong Dance, a play representing the battle between good and evil.

My host father Jiwa, whom I hired to drive us for the day, takes us to Keramas Beach (black sand beach) and his buddy’s cafe. During the garden tour, we smell fresh leaves of citronella, lemongrass and cinnamon. We even chew on some betel leaf, which has a surprisingly broad taste range! From salty to sweet to spicy, it’s got it all. Watch the video to see the adventure unfold 🙂
