I’m going to be spending two weeks in Europe soon and instead of using my usual roller carry-on and a backpack, I’ve decided I want to use one travel backpack as my only luggage with a sea-to-shore lightweight bag as a daypack.

I’ve seen the Farpoint get recommended a lot on this sub, /r/onebag and on other sites, but I’ve also seen some people really happy with the North Face Overhaul 40.

Looks like the biggest difference is side load vs top load, and different compartments in each. The NF doesn’t have compression straps, not sure if that’s a big deal or not.

Any advice or suggestions on which one is overall better, or pros/cons that I might not be thinking of?

Appreciate the advice, thanks!
