Hey guys,

I’m assembling gear in preparation for a lifestyle change as I now have the means to travel and take my job with me. I’ll be posting a gear list asking for a shakedown once I’m a little closer to having it all together but I’m looking at picking up some shirts specifically to cut down on the number of shirts I have to carry. My goal is to have 4 shirts total: 2 crew neck tees, 1 long sleeve crew neck, and one button up (I’ve already got this).

I know Merino is treated like gold around here and I’m open to the idea of picking some up, but I’ve seen lots of people complaining about holes and other problems. I can’t imagine spending the kind of money you have to spend on Merino shirts and having them get holes in less than a year. That being said, I’m keeping an open mind on all material options so synthetics suggestions are welcome too. Here’s a little more specific info, and if there’s anything else I can add that can help I’ll add it here:

  • I like to keep a pretty spartan wardrobe so I’m looking for only black, white and possibly grey solid color tee’s with little/no logo.

  • I keep to a schedule of 3-5 mile runs daily.

  • I don’t like baggy or flowy shirts but I’m also not a bodybuilder so I’m looking for something with good shape but not skin tight.

Anyways, hoping for some helpful suggestions that can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
