With that in mind, I’ve gone through plenty specialized bags – ski combo bags, scuba gear bags, mountain climbing packs, army gear bags, custom bag for my skydiving rig and stuff, etc. We all know major players that make quality stuff – Osprey, Gregory, Arcteryx, Timbuk2, Fjällräven, Briggs & Riley, etc., but I’m curious whether people here have bought relatively new brand names and one bagged with them – off Kickstarter for example?

I was scrolling through my FB feed and saw this ad link http://kck.st/2vFFpcz

I’m not affiliated with the company, and I don’t plan on buying it, I’m just curious what do you guys look for in unknown manufacturers. That bag for example seems nice with the waterproofing, and some features, but also, IMHO is a bit bulky for the volume advertised (probably due to panels and dividers).

Just wanted to have a discussion on buying bags from newbie manufacturers and what we look for when we shop.
