I’m trying to vet an idea in mind. I’m going to be in Europe for 2 weeks and may have to handle some work “emergencies” and be available while I’m there. My company has a pretty lax remote work policy and honestly I also want to prove I can be effective while remote. Any work would be super minor but, I would possibly need to answer emails as well as edit code while I’m traveling. I’m trying to avoid bringing my heavy Mac Pro. I was thinking of using my Moto G5 Plus with AIDE/MGIT to access the code repo I need. I would also buy a bluetooth keyboard and bring one of my chromecasts from home. We should have TV’s in the hotels we are staying in so, theoretically I could cast my phone’s screen to them and handle any intensive work if needed. What does r/onebag think of this idea?
