this color matches perfect with was a bonus I have an older American Tourister the largest piece in similar color for at least 10yrs now, this color matches perfect with was a bonus. As far as comparing the quality of the 2 pieces this is no where near as heavy I think it weighs in at less then 8 pounds, all the zippers seem of same quality and there are the same compartments and it is expandable just like the older model. The fabric and whatever material I am guessing some kind of board perhaps cardboard to make the form is not as thick…
